Changes to Enzymes View
In SnapGene 8.1 we have continued to modernise the look and feel of SnapGene and have simplified and rearranged some controls for the various views.
Here's a brief summary that shows how things differ for Enzymes View between SnapGene 8.0 and 8.1.
Enzymes View
In SnapGene 8.1 the Enzymes View has been updated to match the Primers and Features views.
Use the dropdown menu to select an Enzyme set.
Numbers and Lines View
Toggle between Numbers (default) and Lines views using the buttons at the top right of the window.
Show a Combined View
Click on a chevron (> v) to show a combined view of Numbers and Lines view.
Option-click (macOS) or ALT-click (Windows-Linux) on any chevron to show or hide details of all enzyme sites. Alternatively, click the arrow button on the right side of the view and choose Expand all or Collapse all.

Sort Enzymes Sites
Click and toggle the column headers to sort based on Enzyme Name, Number of Sites, or Location.
Click the arrow button on the right side of the view and choose to Sort by Distance from Selection, or Sort by Visibility.

Show or Hide Enzyme Sites
In SnapGene 8.0 and earlier, Enzyme sites could shown or hidden via the check boxes in the "Visibility" column.
In SnapGene 8.1 or later, visibility information is found adjacent to the enzyme name. Hidden enzymes will have an associated eye icon, and the row will be shaded gray.
The checkboxes on the left are now used to select enzyme sites prior to using the "Actions" options.- see next section
Hover over a row and toggle the eye icon to show or hide enzymes in Map and Sequence view.

To show or hide multiple enzymes at once, select them via the checkboxes, or use click plus shift– or command–(macOS)/CTRL–click, then click Actions → Show/Hide Selected Enzymes.

Perform Actions on Enzymes
Select Enzymes, or select a Feature or region in the Minimap, then use the Actions menu to show or hide enzymes, hide enzymes that cut inside or outside the selection, or remove a selected enzyme from the current enzyme set.

Filter Enzymes in Enzymes View
Type in the "Find Enzymes" field to filter the Enzymes list based on Enzyme name.
