Create a Feature Segment on a Nucleotide Sequence

Create a feature, or open a sequence with an existing feature.

In Sequence view, select the region of sequence that represents the new segment.

To create a feature segment, select the feature, then click menu Features → Create Feature Segment....

The new segment will be added to the largest overlapping feature.

1. Name the new segments if desired.
2. Click on a color swatch to choose a different color for a segment if desired.

Click OK to make the changes.

View the new feature segments in Map or Sequence view.
Save to keep the changes.
