SnapGene User-Based Subscription Licenses
Academic and Corporate subscriptions (2 users or more) are suited to groups or organizations that have multiple users using SnapGene. The subscription license provides :
- Named-user licenses with email login for activation - no license key needed!
- Use on up to 2 computers per user - users can manage activations themselves
- Online user management via My Account including viewing all users and devices, and provisioning additional seats instantly
An Organization subscription is designed for large groups or groups with more complex IT or security requirements. This plan includes everything in standard subscriptions, as well as:
- Single sign-on (SSO) integration using SAML or OIDC to eliminate the need for additional passwords and enforce security policies
- User directory sync with SCIM to automatically add and remove users as they join or leave your team
A Personal (single user) Academic or Corporate subscription is for an individual purchasing a license for their own use. A Personal plan allows activation on up to two computers. Personal licenses require the same purchaser and user to enable license activation and access to all functionality.
A Student (single user) subscription license is for an individual purchasing a license for their own use. The individual must be either an undergraduate or graduate student, a Postdoctoral fellow or a Medical resident. The Student plan allows activation on up to two computers. Student licenses must be purchased by credit card, and require the same purchaser and user to enable license activation and access to all functionality.

SnapGene Legacy Registration Code Licenses
For SnapGene versions 7.2 or earlier, SnapGene licenses were based on registration codes.
Active registration code licenses will work with current versions of SnapGene. Your registration code license may be transitioned to User-based licenses upon subscription renewal. for more information see – Invite SnapGene Users to Transition to an Email Sign-In License.
