A SnapGene network license allows SnapGene to be registered and run if SnapGene detects it is on a public IP address that has been whitelisted for the license.
A user who has registered using a network license can then run SnapGene for up to 10 days if they move to a non-whitelisted IP, or move to a completely offline situation.
After 10 days the user must connect to a whitelisted IP address and start SnapGene to reinstate the registration.
For users who work off-site, if your institution provides VPN access then provided the VPN address is whitelisted, you may be able connect to the VPN then run SnapGene to reinstate the registration.
