As part of the upgrade to SnapGene 6.1, we updated the FlexNet license component of SnapGene in order for it to run natively on Apple Silicon computers. In order for SnapGene 6.1 or later to run successfully with your shared license, your shared license administrator will need to upgrade your license server.
The latest SnapGene license server must be installed on Microsoft Windows 10 or later, or Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or later. Please ensure you have the most up to date release of the OS.
To install the updated license server please have your license administrator do the following:
Shutdown your Current Flexnet License Server
1. Log into the Flexnet License server as described here - Shared License Administration: Replace a Vendor Daemon License File.
2. Switch to the Vendor Daemon Configuration tab and click Administer.
3. Click Stop to stop the Vendor Daemon.
4. Switch to the Server Configuration tab and click Stop Server. This will stop the web server, you can then close the browser window.

B. Change to the parent directory with the following command:
cd /usr/local
C. Unpack the archive file and replace the existing files in the directory:
