Show a Protein Sequence in Compact Format

In Sequence view, click the Display → Use Alternative Format → Compact Format to display a protein sequence in a compact "text only" layout.

To turn off "Compact Format" click  Display → Use Alternative Format.

If the protein is annotated with features then the compact view text will be colored based on the feature color. Hover over a colored region to see a tooltip with details of the feature (if two or more overlapping features are present the information displayed will be for the largest feature).

Compact format can show the sequence in 1-Letter or 3-Letter format. Toggle Display → Use 3-Letter Amino Acid Codes to switch between 1-letter and 3-letter format.  See Display a Protein Sequence with One or Three Letter Amino Acid Codes for more information.
