How do I import a protein sequence in SnapGene?
Import from UniProt
Click menu File → Import → UniProt Sequences to import directly from the UniProt database (https://www.uniprot.org/).
Enter one or more valid accession numbers for RNA sequences then click Import.
Click Format Tips to learn how to import multiple Uniprot records.
Click File → Save to save the sequence as a SnapGene .rna file.
Import Formatted Text
SnapGene can open protein sequence files in plain text (raw sequence only), Fasta, GenPept/UniProt, SwissProt or GCG formats.
You can also copy and paste formatted protein sequence information directly into the New Protein Sequence window -see Create a Protein Sequence.
