How do I turn off automatic sending of anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to the software developers?
By default, SnapGene sends silent crash reports and anonymous usage statistics to us to assist with the continued development and improvement of the software. No confidential information is sent. Reports never contain annotation or sequence data.
Open Preferences
Click menu SnapGene → Preferences (macOS) or menu Edit → Preferences (Windows or Linux).
Select "General" in the sidebar.
Uncheck the options to "Send Crash reports" and/or "Send anonymous usage information".
