How do I use the SnapGene primer database to add primers to my sequences?
The primer database is available in SnapGene version 9.0 and later. To learn how to add primers to your Primer Database see Add Primers to the Primer Database.
View the Target Sequence
View the target sequence, then click menu Primers → Annotate From Primer Database.
In the dialog that opens, set the Source as "All Primers", or use the dropdown to use a labeled set.
Select the appropriate match criteria.
Click OK to search for matching primers.
All matching primers are reported in the next dialog.
Select the primers you wish to add to your sequence, then click Add Primer.
Matching primers will be added to the target sequence.
Click Save to save the changes.
