How do I use the Multifile Table in SnapGene?
Use the Multifile Table
In SnapGene 8.2+ we provide a table view of files when multiple files are selected in the side panel.
In SnapGene 9.0+ we provide an additional Map view when multiple files are selected in the side panel.
Select one or more file and/or folders in the Project side panel to see the Map view.
By default SnapGene will not automatically show Maps for sequences over 10 kb. Click the Load Map button to show a Map.
Switch to the Info view to see a tabular summary of all metadata for the selected files.
Click the Show/Hide Columns button on the right to choose which information to display.
Perform Bulk Actions
- Use the dropdown on the right to unselect and filter to specific file types.
- Use the "Annotate, simulate or edit" dropdown to perform applicable bulk actions on the selected files.
- Use the "Manage Files" dropdown for file management options
Arrange the Table
Click and drag the column header dividers to resize columns.
- Click on column headers to sort by that column, click twice to reverse the sort order.
- Click on a caret associated with a column header and use the menu to sort, pin the column, change the column position, or hide the column.
- Use the sort button on the top right to sort by any available criteria.
