Why can't I find Collections functionality?
In SnapGene 7.0 we introduced a new Project browser, see Use the SnapGene Project Interface. This new interface will eventually supercede SnapGene Collections.
In SnapGene 7.0 and later, all Collections functionality is hidden by default. To show Collections functionality follow the instructions provided below.
Show Collections Functionality
Click SnapGene → Preferences (macOS) or Edit → Preferences (Windows or Linux), and select "Collections" in the sidebar.
Uncheck the option to "Hide Collections" functionality.
All options relating to default display settings for new Collections will be shown. See Set the Default Display Preferences for New Collections for more information.
All Collections-related commands will be available under the File menu.
