How do I export a DNA or protein map as an image?
SnapGene can export maps in bitmap formats (BMP, JPEG, PNG and TIFF) or resolution-independent vector-based formats (PDF, SVG and EMF). See Can I export my Map, History, Sequence, Alignment or AB1 File as a vector-based graphic? for more information about exporting and working with images exported in PDF or SVG formats.
Create or Open a Sequence File
Create, import or open a DNA, RNA or protein sequence file.
Switch to Map view.
Use the options available via the View menu (or via the Side Toolbar) to display or hide Enzyme sites, Features, Primers, ORFs as desired for an exported image. See the lessions on Display Options for DNA Sequences, Display Options for Protein Sequences and Other Display Options for more information on changing how a map is displayed.
