How do I export a portion of a protein sequence in an alternative file format?
Open a Protein Sequence
Import or open a protein sequence file in SnapGene.
Switch to Sequence view and select the region to be exported. Click to set the start position, then shift click to set the end position and select the intervening sequence.
Export the New File
Click File → Export → Selected Protein.
Click the dropdown to choose an format for export.
If required, enter a name for the new protein sequence file.
Click Save to save the exported file to an appropriate location on your computer.
