How can I focus (zoom in) on a sequence region or feature?
Focus on a Region and See the Focus Controls
To focus on a region in a sequence, click within the sequence at a location of interest, select a region, or click on a feature, primer or enzyme site, then use one of the following options:
- Click on Focus on Region button.
- Click View → Focus on Region.
- Use the keyboard shortcut:
- macOS: command–option– = or command–option– z
- Windows or Linux: CTRL–ALT– = or CTRL–ALT– z
View and Adjust the "Focus" Region
To adjust the region in focus:
- Manually edit the coordinates and/or length to change the range boundaries.
- Drag either end of the blue "focus" box on the minimap to adjust the range boundaries.
- To toggle off Focus mode, click the Focus button, or click the close X button.
Toggle the chevron to expand or minimise the Focus controls.
Features, Primers and Enzymes Views when in "Focused" Mode
When in "focused" mode, Features, Primers and Enzymes views will list only those annotations within the "focus" range.
