How do I show or hide or set alternative colors on a DNA sequence?
Open a DNA or RNA file
View a sequence file and switch to Sequence view.
Hover over the "Show colors" button in the side toolbar and choose a color scheme to toggle on "Show Colors" and show the color scheme.
Hide or Show Colors
Toggle the "Show Colors" button in the side toolbar to show or hide the selected color scheme.
View the Sequence Colors
History, or custom colors will be shown in Map and Sequence views. See What is SnapGene History View? and Customize DNA Sequence Colors.
"GC content", "Pyrimidine vs Purine" and "Nucleotide Colors" are only shown in Sequence view. To learn more about these color schemes, see Nucleotide Properties Highlighting Schemes.
