Exporting Map View
To export Map view as a vector-based graphic, choose map view and click menu File → Export → Map. You can choose to export in a number of file formats including vector-based PDF or SVG formats. See the lesson Export a DNA, RNA or Protein Map as an Image for more information.
Exported PDF or SVG files can be opened and edited in vector-based drawing programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape. Once imported into an editor you will need to "ungroup" and/or "release clipping masks" to edit individual elements of the image.
Exporting History View, Sequence View, Alignments or AB1 Chromatograms
To export a vector-based graphic of your Sequence view, History view, pairwise or multiple alignments, or AB1 trace files you should print to a PDF.
