Slow Behavior or Error Messages when using Files on Cloud Storage
Some cloud services use placeholders and only download files to your computer as required. If you have slow behavior in SnapGene when working with a folder or files that are stored on a Cloud service, then ensure the folder and its contents are set to be stored locally.
OneDrive Example
On OneDrive, locate the folder in the File manager (File Explorer or macOS Finder), CTRL-click or right click on the folder and choose to "Always Keep on This Device". This will ensure all files in the folder are stored locally and readily accessible to SnapGene.
Google Drive Example
On Google Drive, locate the folder in the File manager (File Explorer or macOS Finder), CTRL-click or right click on the folder and choose to "Download Now". This will ensure all files in the folder are stored locally and readily accessible to SnapGene.
