How do I hide the Snapgene Launch window on Microsoft Windows when no files are open?
On Windows, by default SnapGene 6.2 or earlier shows the Launch window when first run and when no SnapGene files are open. To automatically hide the Launch window when no files are open, follow the procedure outlined below.
Open Preferences
Click Help → Preferences.
If required, select General in the Preferences sidebar.
Check to option to "Minimize the Launch window when all other windows have been closed".
The Launch window will now be minimized if all files are closed, SnapGene will remain running.
Show the Launch Window
Click the SnapGene icon in the Windows Task bar to show the hidden Launch window.
